For many years, Chris was one of Sing! Sing! Sing!’s featured and valued musicians.
“We grew accustomed to his bass… he always made the show begin….”
His bass was originally owned by Ray Brown, then Andy Simpkins... and Chris Conner who brought out the most beautiful sounds and rhythms for our’s and many other performances.
He will be greatly missed and impossible to replace.

A 20-year veteran of the motion picture business (Paramont, MGM and Disney Studios), now a 33-year veteran of the travel industry, he is the owner of Chartwell Travel, Conde Nast magazine honored him as one of the "100 best Travel Agents in the United States". His geographic specialty is France.
Howard's passion is his long involvement with Sing! Sing! Sing! where he melds narrative American history with song. His fascinating anecdotes and witty observations connect the composers' lives to their music and create an intimate relationship to each song.
A true Renaissance man, Howard's interests include his flute, vintage Champagne, bow ties and BBQ cook-offs for which he is a certified master judge.

Introducing a group of singers known as Lifted Voices, who perform at senior residences and other facilities on the Westside and South Bay areas.
We spotlight music from the ’20’s through the ’50’s by composers such as The Gershwins, Irving Berlin, Rodgers and Hart, Johnny Mercer and Jerome Kern, to name just a few. These songs are from the Great American Songbook and have stood the test of time! Our programs combine performance with casual audience participation in a relaxed, singer-friendly style. We provide song sheets, a little background to introduce each song, and lots of light-hearted fun for all! We encourage requests and audience participation. Enjoyment through the power of music is our goal! For all the songs you love to sing, lift your spirits with Lifted Voices! It’s happy, healthy, and hearty fun!
